The objective of the VODIS project is to equip the e-democracy developed by Indra Systems as system of Internet Vote and OPINA System: Internet surveys, whenever it is necessary and possible, of additional facilities, like special interfaces or other equivalent resources, to assure the accessibility of people with disabilities.
The key points of accessibility arise when considering the different contexts in which the users can operate with an Internet system:
- Not to be able to read, to hear, to move or to process certain types of information easily
- To have difficulty when reading or understanding the text.
- Donīt have or not to be able to use a keyboard or a mouse.
- To have only a text screen, a small screen, or a slow internet connection.
- Donīt speak or donīt understand fluidly the language of the text.
- To be in a situation where their eyes, ears or hands are occupied or interfered with.
- To have an old version of the navigator or a different navigator, a voice navigator, or different operating system.
This web site has two main purposes:
- Give the project public visibility the site contains a presentation of VODIS objectives and the offered service, but it will be updated with the latest available results.
- Include a restricted area for document and software exchange between VODIS partners.
